Frances C. Halaburda (nee Kropkowski), 92, of Atlantic Highlands, formerly of Jersey City, passed away on Thursday, October 5th, 2017. Frances was a United States Navy 'Wave' during WWII, serving her country from 1945-6. She was retired from New Jersey Bell where she worked for many years as a Telephone Operator.

Frances was predeceased by her loving husband, John Michael Halaburda, and two of her children, Susan Besante and David Halaburda. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her four children, Veronica Cervalli (husband Joseph) of Florida, Deborah Jeanne Halaburda of Bayonne, Stephen M. Halaburda (wife Patricia) of Union Beach and Pamela Halaburda of Las Vegas, Nevada; her five grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Cervalli, Jonathan and Megan Halaburda and Alexis Gonzalez.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, 10/10/17, at 9:30 am at Plaza Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:30 am at St Anthony of Padua RC Church, Jersey City. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting Monday, 10/9, at the funeral home from 2:00 - 6:00 pm.
