Robert ThomasApril 8, 1969 ~ November 20, 2017 (age 48)
Thomas, Robert H., 48, of Jersey City, died tragically in a scuba diving accident on Monday.
Always one for adventure, Robert backpacked to mountain tops and back. He was a rock climber for many years, and for the past 15 years he has been a very active scuba diver achieving the rank of Master scuba diver. He joined the Navy in 1987 and served until 1993 to pay for college. He earned his Master's from the University of Buffalo and has been working in IT ever since. Most recently, he was working as an Enterprise Architect for Major League Baseball in New York City. He is predeceased by his parents: Paul Anthony Thomas Sr., and Nancy Mae Thomas (nee Lohman). He is survived by his partner Michelle Molin, His brothers Paul Thomas and his wife Dawn, Mark Thomas and his wife Monica and Michael Thomas and his wife Rosanne. He is also survived by six nieces: Laura Manolis, and Tracy, Susan, Kelly, Beth, and Karen Thomas, as well as nephews John and Michael Thomas. Family and friends are invited to gather at Plaza Funeral Home on Saturday, November 25, 2017 starting at 10:00 am. A memorial service will take place at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 pm, at which time everyone will have an opportunity to share their memories and stories about Bob.
