Obituary

Eva Soprych passed away on February 16, 2020 in Jersey City at the age of 76.

She is survived by her son Robert Soprych, daughter Beata Mazur and her husband Jerzy, 5 grandchildren: Karolina Ondora and her husband Sydney, Paulina Mazur, Filip Mazur and his wife Jasmine, Sara Soprych and Wiktoria Soprych, as well as 4 great grandchildren: Josephine, Joseph, Oliver and Amelia.

Born in Tarnow, Poland, Eva came to the United States via Austria 40 years ago. She first came to Greenpoint, Brooklyn, before settling in Jersey City. Eva worked as a custodian with 32BJ Custodial Union at the Goldman Sachs Building in New York City.

She was a very independent woman who enjoyed shopping, cruise ships, and visits to the casinos of Atlantic City, where she was quite lucky with the slot machines, and even the occasional scratch off ticket.
