Jose M. Cabrera

Jose M. Cabrera, 88, passed away on November 10th, 2023 at home.

Jose came to Jersey City from Fajardo, Puerto Rico, when he was 17 years old. He had a store on 7th Street and Eire in Downtown before he started working for the Hudson County Transportation. He drove the elderly for many years with Hudson County Transport and was well-known and loved by all. He will be greatly missed.

Jose was pre-deceased by his son, Joseph. Jose leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Nelida Cabrera; his daughter Ileana Hernandez and her husband John; his granddaughters, Jasmine Cabrera, Alyssa Hernandez, Alexis Hernandez and Arielle Hernandez and great-grandson, River Cabrera.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend  the visiting at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. Mass will be held at St. Mary's RC Church on Wednesday. November 15, at 11:00 am. IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND THE FUNERAL MASS, PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. THE FUNERAL HOME WILL NOT BE OPEN BEFORE MASS.

Cremation Service will be private.
